"My life is based around surfing.  After studying I decided to get a job and save up for surf trips as during 2008, I plan to travel to France during the summer in between the competitions, and then go abroad for the winter either to Noosa Heads in Australia or to Morroco to gain further experience.
I grew up spending every summer down at my local beach down the road with my mum and my friends, body boarding was always fun but I never knew how serious it could be until I was rescued from a severe rip by my friends dad on his Longboard.  I later had a go on the Longboard and was instantly hooked on surfing, and now I surf as much as I can whether it is minus 8 degrees or not!  If the surf is pumping I'm in!
I finished overall 2nd in the British Longboard Union Juniors in 2007, and now aim to do the best i possibly can in 2008 in the Open Division.  I spend some time living in Newquay to concentrate on surfing before the competitions start and I am hoping to take my surf instructors level 1 course in order to get a surfing qualification under my belt.
There is no place like home though and although it is cold, and the water isn't blue, there is no place I would rather be than at my local reefs with my friends.
My influences are the lads I compete against, like Ben Skinner, Elliot Dudley and Ben Howarth that are really setting the standard and getting worldwide recognition and extremely good results."
