The range of surfboards is kept simple with each offering the greatest possible versatility in the widest scope of conditions. Northcore™ boards are shaped with the regular surfer in mind, designed to catch and ride the most waves and have the most fun!
Board production:
Northcore™ custom surfboards are manufactured from a expert handshaped original which is then used as a “template” for the leading edge technology shaping machine, which is used by all the worlds top surfboard producers.
The polyurethane foam blanks which include a centre wooden stringer for strength, are produced on the shaping machine, then fine tuned by hand, sprayed with the design and then laminated. The board lamination is a process of applying glass cloth to the top and bottom of the surfboard which is then saturated with a polyester resin which hardens and is sanded and polished to produce a fantastic hardwearing finish on a light and strong board.
All our custom surfboards are then fitted with FCS fin plugs or fin boxes, which offer some of the toughest, most versatile, adjustable fin systems on the planet.
