Lucie Donlan

Lucie has lived in Cornwall all her life and it seemed like a natural progression for her to start surfing being surrounded by so many beautiful beaches and coastlines. Lucie first started surfing at the age of 13 encouraged by her Dad who wanted a “surfing buddy”. In her early teens she was an active competitor in all the major UK surf competitions but found that she performed better when she was “free” surfing and this alone encouraged her to surf whenever she could in all conditions to improve her performance and technique.

Lucie is now a freelance ISA Surf Instructor and can be found teaching in some of the best surf schools in her home town of Newquay. She has also been made an Ambassador of the Wave Project and regularly volunteers with them in her spare time to help teach children with disabilities improve their confidence through learning to surf.

With a keen desire to still be involved in the competitive world of surfing, Lucie has recently qualified as an ISA accredited Surf Judge and is now working closely with the UK Pro Surf Tour and Surfing GB judging and conducting a series of interviews with some of Britain's most professional surfers.

In her spare time Lucie is continually promoting her love of surfing through her social media pages and has secured the backing and support of some major surf brands, including Northcore. Lucie is hoping to explore some opportunities within the surfing industry as well as continuing with her professional modelling career.
